Out of the Ashes is a guild built from a core group of players who have been raiding together since March 2009. We are a semi-hardcore raiding guild with some members beginning to experience more PVP.

We also welcome social members to join and actively participate in guild events when they are scheduled. Out of the ashes ultimate goal is to have progression raiding teams clearing content at a good pace.

 Member Conduct

  1. Members of Out of the Ashes are respectful to one another at all times. Members shall be polite and courteous to other guild members in all forms of communication whether written or verbal.

  2. Out of the Ashes members shall demonstrate courtesy and respect towards non-members at all times. Members must behave honourably and respectfully in all channels of communication (IE. Pugs, BGs, trade)

  3. Members of Out of the Ashes that are found to spam any channel, may have their membership with the guild revoked. Members are expected to avoid unnecessary use of the yell channel. These actions are frowned upon in the community and as a guild we are trying to maintain a positive reputation.
  4. Racism, discrimination, sexual harassment, trolling, inappropriate language will not be tolerated in guild or public channels.

All guild members should feel free to ask questions in guild. Members are asked  to respect this, and although the answer may be obvious to you, we do have players learning the game so all negative comments should be kept to yourself. There may be exceptions at times where you will be forwarded to a website that may have the answer you seek. Please use this tool as ultimately you are responsible for your own toon.

 Guild Events

  • Guild events occur regularly and we ask all members to understand that whilst we try to accommodate everyone’s availability, positions may fill quickly and people may miss out. In this unfortunate event we apologize.

  • In regards to clearing old content the highest level toons get preference for invites. Although we do not mind running low level runs, we aim for the clearing of all content to be smooth and as quick as possible. For this reason, lower level players may miss out if there is competition for spots.

Progression Raid Teams

It is expected that all raiders and trial raiders have the following:

  • Ventrilo

  • Deadly boss mods, big wigs or equivalent

  • Omen

  • Flasks, pots and food

  • Be online and in game 10 mins before raid starts

  • Best spec for raiding

  • All gear is gemmed and enchanted with the level appropriate gems/enchants

  • Gear must be reforged to maximize your raid role.

  • As close to 100% attendance as possible. If you are aware of upcoming absences please post on the guild website forums. Failure to show to raids on several occasions may lead to the loss of your position in the raid team.

Trial Raiders

Trial raiders will trial for their position for a minimum of two(2) and a maximum of four(4) weeks. Feedback will be given at the end of each week for areas where improvements could be made. It is vital that if you wish to gain a permanent position in of the progression teams, that feedback is action-ed upon.

Officers will have the final say in acceptance of all trials but other team members may be consulted also.

Officers decision is final.

General Guild Rule

  • Requesting services (Trade skills, etc) - Requests should be polite and specific where possible. Guild members are under no obligation to give you the mats or item free of charge, however if the crafter has to buy the pattern then covering the cost of this is encouraged. If a Guild member offers you something cheaply, buy it to use it, not to sell it on elsewhere.

  • If you ask for something in guild chat and no one responds to your request, then do not spam PMs to everyone. By all means repeat the request after a polite amount of time but do not spam.

  • If another player acts poorly toward you either in or out of the guild, just ignore it where possible, DO NOT RETALIATE especially if they are from out of the guild. Do Not Feed The Trolls!

  • Players must be able to take instruction and at times, constructive criticism. This is generally done in private and is not meant to demean, belittle or embarrass a player. No one is perfect. We do not expect you to be. But we do expect you to be able to analyze what you did wrong, own up to it, correct it and improve upon it. We want players who desire and constantly strive to improve themselves inside and outside of raids. We need players who are quick learners and don't often make the same mistake twice, players with good raid awareness, reaction and the ability to multitask.

  • Have self and Guild-respect! Never forget that you carry the Guild's Name above your head at all times, conduct yourself in a manner which will earn respect from your fellow players, not contempt. Be proud of being a member of Out of the Ashes, and make those around you happy to see one. Be polite, both to Guild members and fellow travelers, treat others as you want to be treated. Don’t spam or troll trade chat, don't ninja-loot, don't kill steal, and don’t get caught up in abusive arguments with current or ex guild members.

  • Please don't ask to be promoted. You will only be promoted when the officers feel you are ready and have proven yourself to be. If you want to grow fast in rank you have to be active on forums, be active in-game, be polite, mature, helping other guild mates, depositing items in guild bank etc.

  • Guild Bank items may be bought from guild bank at 75% of the current auction house prices. If you cannot afford this or are willing too, do not ask for them. This applies to all bank tabs except the first, which is eligible to all but please only take what you need. If you are found taking items that you have no need for you may disciplined or removed from the guild.

  • There are limits to the amount of alts the guild may take in. For new members a main and 1 alt will be accepted. This is not set in concrete and may be allowed by officers on case by case basis.Failure to follow any of these rules may result in guild removal.
